Quick, practical answers about the calculator, its functions and what it does not currently promise. No guesswork about unavailable controls.
Is UsefulTho a free online calculator?
Yes. Use the calculator directly in your browser without creating an account or downloading an app.
Is this a basic or scientific calculator?
Both. The basic keypad handles everyday arithmetic. Advanced mode adds supported trigonometric functions, powers, roots, logarithms, constants and DEG/RAD selection.
How do I use the online calculator?
Enter a number, choose an operation, enter another value when needed and press = or Enter. Use the clear control to start over.
Can I use my computer keyboard instead of clicking?
Yes. Number keys, common operators, decimal point, percentage, power, Enter, Backspace and Escape are documented shortcuts.
Does the calculator work with negative numbers and decimals?
The basic calculator supports negative values and decimals as well as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
How does the percentage key work?
By itself, 25% becomes 0.25. With addition or subtraction, a percentage is applied to the first number; for example, 200 + 10% produces 220.
How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount rate in decimal form, then subtract it from the original price. For example, 800 minus 15% of 800 equals 680.
How do I calculate tax or a percentage increase?
Multiply the original value by the percentage rate in decimal form and add the result. For example, 125 with 8% tax becomes 135.
Does the calculator follow the order of operations?
Standard arithmetic uses conventional precedence, so 2 + 3 × 4 equals 14. The exact handling of multi-operation keypad entry should be verified in the live engine before relying on it for complex expressions.
Can I calculate square roots and powers?
Yes. Advanced mode includes square roots, cube roots, squares, cubes, arbitrary powers and other scientific functions.
What is the difference between degrees and radians?
They are different units for measuring angles. Use DEG for degree inputs such as 30° and RAD for angles expressed in radians. The choice affects trigonometric results.
Why might a scientific calculator show an error?
Invalid mathematical operations, such as division by zero or a real-number square root of a negative value, may not produce a valid result. The exact message depends on the calculator's implementation.
How accurate is an online scientific calculator?
Ordinary browser calculators use finite numerical representations; some decimal or scientific results may be rounded. Check critical calculations independently and do not assume arbitrary-precision arithmetic.
Does the calculator have calculation history?
Yes. Recent Tape keeps up to 12 completed calculations during the current page session. You can clear the tape separately.
Does UsefulTho permanently save my calculator history?
Persistent saved history has not been established. Treat Recent Tape as a session feature rather than a permanent record, especially if you refresh or close the page.
Can I edit earlier calculations in Recent Tape?
The documented feature is a recent-calculation list, not an editable adding-machine tape. Editable history is not currently claimed.
Does it have memory buttons such as M+, MR or MC?
Those conventional memory operations have not been confirmed in the UsefulTho interface. Recent Tape helps review prior calculations but does not replace dedicated memory buttons.
Can I copy a result or repeat the equals operation?
A dedicated copy-result control and repeat-equals behavior have not been verified. Use the documented controls; do not assume either feature is available.
Can I change the calculator's color?
Yes. Pick from ten preset main-color and shadow combinations. They change the appearance without changing the available calculator modes.
Is this a cute, pastel or pink calculator online?
There are colorful preset themes, including pink-toned options. UsefulTho does not claim a free-form custom background or an unlimited color picker.
Does the calculator have dark mode?
Some of the ten palettes use deeper colors, but a separate system-wide dark-mode switch has not been verified. Choose the palette that is most comfortable to read.
Can I embed this calculator on my website?
The Embed control generates HTML iframe code. Paste it into a compatible HTML/custom-code area and test the calculator, dimensions and interaction on the published page.
Can I embed the calculator in WordPress or Webflow?
Those platforms may provide Custom HTML or Embed elements. Whether the iframe loads depends on the editor, plan and security settings, so verify on the actual published site.
Is there a free calculator widget for Notion?
Notion requires an embeddable HTTPS URL, not raw iframe HTML. UsefulTho's website embed generator is documented, but a working Notion calculator embed has not been independently verified.
Does UsefulTho support Indian lakh and crore separators?
A dedicated Indian-number-format option has not been confirmed. Indian and international grouping describe the same number differently, for example 10,00,000 versus 1,000,000.
Is there a UsefulTho calculator Chrome extension?
A published Chrome extension is not established in the current Calculator implementation. The web calculator works directly in a normal browser tab without an extension.
Can I use the calculator offline or without ads?
Offline functionality and an ad-free guarantee have not been verified. The confirmed access model is a free browser-based calculator with no account required.
Is this a graphing, fraction or symbolic algebra calculator?
The documented modes are basic arithmetic and numerical scientific calculations. Graph plotting, symbolic algebra and specialized fraction-solving features are not claimed.
