1. Who we are
UsefulTho provides small web-based utilities, browser extensions and related software available through usefultho.com.

2. Information processed on the UsefulTho website
When you visit UsefulTho, certain technical and usage information may be processed automatically in order to operate, secure and understand the website.
UsefulTho currently uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website usage. Depending on your consent choices and applicable law, analytics information may include:
- pages and tools viewed;
- interactions with the site;
- referring pages or sources;
- browser and device information;
- approximate geographic information;
- session and usage statistics; and
- analytics identifiers stored in first-party cookies where permitted.
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, passwords or other direct personal identifiers to Google Analytics.
3. UsefulTho Chrome extensions
UsefulTho browser extensions are designed to perform their advertised function with as little access as reasonably possible.
Timer preferences
The UsefulTho Timer extension may store preferences such as:
- your selected timer duration;
- selected visual theme;
- timer status and end time; and
- the position of the floating timer.
These values are used only to provide and remember the timer experience.
Some preferences may use Chrome's synchronized extension storage. If Chrome Sync is enabled in your browser, Google may synchronize those preferences between your signed-in Chrome installations according to your Chrome settings.
Website access
The Timer extension may ask for optional access to normal webpages when you choose to use the floating timer feature.
This permission is used to display the draggable timer interface over the webpage. UsefulTho does not use this feature to collect, store or transmit the contents of pages you visit.
In particular, the extension is not designed to collect:
- browsing history;
- webpage text or content;
- passwords;
- form inputs;
- messages or emails;
- payment information; or
- authentication credentials.
4. Extension data is not sold
UsefulTho does not sell extension user data, use it for personalized advertising, or provide it to data brokers.
Information handled by UsefulTho extensions is used only for the extension's disclosed user-facing functionality and related operational purposes.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. When the extension opens UsefulTho
Buttons such as “Open Full Timer” or “Browse All Tools” open usefultho.com in your browser.
Those links may contain campaign parameters so we can understand that the visit came from a UsefulTho extension. Once you visit the website, the website privacy practices described in this policy apply.
6. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics may use first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions where analytics storage is permitted.

7. Who information may be shared with
Depending on which UsefulTho service you use, information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the service, including:
- website hosting and infrastructure providers;
- Google Analytics for website measurement;
- Google Chrome services where you choose to use Chrome synchronization; and
- authorities where disclosure is required by applicable law.
We do not share personal data with third parties for them to independently market products to you.
8. Data retention
Extension preferences remain in browser storage until they are changed, cleared, or the extension is removed, subject to Chrome's own synchronization behavior.
Website analytics information is retained according to our configured Google Analytics retention settings and Google's applicable policies.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, legal requirements, security and dispute resolution.
9. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal data, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection.
You can also:
- remove the UsefulTho extension;
- revoke extension website permissions through Chrome;
- clear browser cookies and site data;
- change Chrome Sync settings; and
- decline non-essential analytics cookies where a consent control is available.

10. Children
UsefulTho does not knowingly design its services to solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the services and information we process. No internet service, browser extension or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. International processing
Some service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their applicable legal and contractual safeguards.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when UsefulTho changes its products, providers or legal obligations.
Material changes to extension data practices will also be disclosed where required before the changed practice begins.
